Privacy Policy

AGON (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a decentralized prediction market protocol. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle information when you use the AGON interface at agon.markets.

Because AGON is built on a public blockchain, on-chain data (wallet addresses, trades, positions) is inherently public and immutable. This policy covers data we collect off-chain through the AGON interface and backend services.

Wallet address. When you connect your wallet, we record your public address to associate your activity with your account. Your private key is never transmitted to our servers.

Usage data. We collect anonymized analytics including pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the product. We do not sell this data.

IP address & geo data. We use IP-based geolocation to enforce jurisdictional restrictions. This data is processed in real time and is not stored beyond the request lifecycle.

Agent API keys. API keys you create for programmatic agent access are stored securely (hashed). We log API key usage for abuse detection and rate limiting.

Affiliate referral cookies. If you arrive via a referral link containing a ?ref= parameter, we store a 7-day cookie to attribute volume to the referring affiliate.

• To enforce jurisdictional restrictions in compliance with applicable law
• To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and technical attacks
• To attribute affiliate commissions accurately to referring partners
• To communicate platform updates via opt-in notification channels

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

All trades, positions, and oracle votes are recorded on the Base blockchain and are publicly visible. This data is immutable and outside AGON’s control. By transacting on-chain, you acknowledge that your wallet address and transaction history are permanently and publicly recorded.

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Vercel — hosting and edge delivery (processes request metadata including IP)
• Upstash Redis — rate limiting (stores request counts keyed by IP, with short TTLs)
• RainbowKit / WalletConnect — wallet connection infrastructure

Off-chain user data is retained for as long as your account is active plus 12 months following account deletion. Rate-limit and geo data is retained for 2 minutes. Referral cookies expire after 7 days.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Note that on-chain data cannot be deleted by anyone. To make a data request, contact us at hello@agon.markets.

We use minimal cookies: one session cookie for wallet authentication (JWT), and one optional referral attribution cookie (agon_ref). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via official AGON channels. Your continued use of the Service following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
