USACorey Yasuto Gaines is an American professional basketball coach and former player, who is the head coach for the Japan women's national basketball team. He played five seasons in the NBA, and was a four-time Israeli Premier League Assists Leader, in 1999 and in 2001 to 2003. He was also a former head coach of the Phoenix Mercury of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
